THE OCCIDENTAL
The Occidental is Wellington's original Monteith's bar. It is only a stones throw from Parliament, a 5 minute walk from the Stadium and Railway Station and nestled amongst the CBD and shopping district on Lambton Quay. It offers some of the best value meals in Wellington starting with their famous $3 breakfast, running until 11am Monday to Friday and until 1pm in the weekend. On Sunday they have "all you can eat mussels" for $16. Beware, you may have to book for lunch between Monday and Friday.

THE CAMBRIDGE HOTEL
The Cambridge Hotel is a building of grandeur which boasts traditional Kiwi hospitality in a classic pub setting. The bar caters for a wide variety of patrons from local Wellingtonians to Hotel guests to sports teams. The drinks are priced attractively with a large range of New Zealand and imported beers, wines and spirits. It is the perfect place to drink with friends or meet with other guests before heading out to other parts of town.

If you are travelling during the winter make sure not to miss the excitement of an All Blacks game on their big screen, or if you feel like a quick gamble there is a TAB along with many gaming machines. The bistro is connected to the bar area and provides very reasonably priced meals.

THE REALM BAR & RESTAURANT
The Realm Bar and Restaurantis situated just South of the Mount Victoria Tunnel in Hataitai. It offers fantastic meals and great service. There is always something on at The Realm, with live music, poker or quiz nights offering great entertainment. The Realm is famous for sports on the big screen; the electric atmosphere on game night is unrivalled. This local, unique site is iconic in Hataitai, a must to check out.

EL HORNO
El Horno is a fabulous Wellington bar situated on the very alive 'Courtenay Place strip'. It is a fantastic place to go and have a few drinks. Its decor, Hispanic/Western theme and traditional Sangria - the drink of Spain offers people the opportunity to  'party like they are in Spain' right in the heart of Wellington.
